Preserving Memories.  Honoring Life.

You only get to experience life changing events one time, unless you have the forethought to record it.  Nothing captures the sight, sound, and emotion of your life quite like a video of the actual event.  Our primary focus is to capture everything you might have missed while you participated in your life, so you can relax and enjoy every moment of the occasion and share it with others.

There is simply nothing like a treasured collection of your photos, 8mm film, or home movies to recapture memories and feelings of special moments from days gone by. Add a whole new dimension to those memories through the creation of a heartfelt, personalized video DVD or Montage.

Our professionally trained videographers and editing personnel strive to preserve your memories with honor, dignity, and the greatest of care. Our producer personally supervises every creative piece that we produce. We guarantee that the finished production will be a keepsake that will touch your heart and will be cherished for years to come!

  • Organic Dirty Dozen
Foods You Should Always Buy Organic

The 2011 version of the Shopper's Guide to Pesticides in Produce is based on the results of pesticide tests performed on produce and collected by federal agencies between 2000 and 2009 and published by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).

Nearly all of the data used took into account how people typically wash and prepare produce - for example, apples were washed and bananas peeled before testing. The following "Dirty Dozen" had the highest pesticide load, making them the most important to buy organic versions - or to grow them organically yourself:

    • Apples
    • Celery
    • Strawberries
    • Peaches
    • Spinach
    • Nectarines (imported)
    • Grapes (imported)
    • Sweet bell peppers
    • Potatoes
    • Blueberries (domestic)
    • Lettuce
    • Kale/collard greens

Why should you care about pesticides? The EWG points out that there is a growing consensus in the scientific community that small doses of pesticides and other chemicals can have adverse effects on health, especially during vulnerable periods such as fetal development and childhood.

Also keep in mind that maintaining your family's health is not the only reason to choose organic food. Pesticide and herbicide use contaminates groundwater, ruins soil structures and promotes erosion, and may be a contributor to "colony collapse disorder," the sudden and mysterious die-off of pollinating honeybees that threatens the American food supply. Buying or growing organic food is good for the health of the planet.

It's really not that hard to grow your own organic foods, just check out the PhotoBlog and my very own organic garden results.  Yes the birds eat some fruit and I lose a few pieces of fruit to grown squirrel and rabbits but all in all it makes us all healthier and happier!

  • Welcome to Green Quest Video Productions Blog!

Four blogs have been created to provide additional "Green" information:

    • GQ EnviroFeed: You are currently looking at it.  This section will provide some of the latest information out the environment in which we live, our impact on it, and what we can do to create a win-win for ourselves AND the environment that we will leave for our children and grandchildren.
    • GQ Products: You can access it from a link at the top of the page. It contains information about products offered by our hand picked affiliates.  All of our affiliates are chosen after meeting strict criteria for environmentally responsible practices.
    • GQ Beauty Feed:You can access it from a link at the top of the page. It contains information about skin care and organic products offered by our hand picked affiliates.
    • Linkblog: The Linkblog is a "Blogroll" in the sidebar of both GQ EnviroFeed and GQ Products.
    • Photoblog: Well, what can I say, often a picture IS truly worth a 1000 words.

Videography is our speciality but we just kept coming across products and information that we wanted to share. We first shared some of it on the main website for Green Quest Video Productions LLC  but felt it was diluting the purpose of our true business.  We are also avid recyclers, environmentalist, lovers of animals and children's causes.

Denise and I hope you enjoy the "other side" of us and find some useful information along the way.

  • Original Music

Our very own Denise Shelton writes a lot of the music she lays in behind the awesome video she shoots.  A truly talented woman, she is capable of producing video unlike anything else available on the market.  Her music is often inspired by personal experiences that "resonate" a feeling within her in the form of a song.    She is almost never able to pass a piano, especially a baby grand piano, without taking a seat to let give release to the music in her head.

She currently has one CD available for purchase called Tybee Rain, which was conceived on a military operation.  As the title indicates, the place was Tybee Island and the result was the outpouring (rain) of music.  Many who have purchased the CD remark that the compositions are perfect for relaxation and meditation.  I just love them all!
